Heard on NPR this morning:
The Bush administration changes the way it calculates the value of a human life, proposing a reduction in the value of a senior citizen's life to 63 percent or less of the $6.1-million value per individual it uses when weighing the costs and the benefits of environmental regulations. But environmental groups criticize the plan, calling it the
senior death discount.
Let me get this straight: the pro-life administration wants to reduce the calculated value of human life. Riiiiiiight.
