The subject of that conversation was a statue of Vladimir Lenin that's currently standing in the People's Republic of Fremont (officially the center of the universe). The statue is unique, not only because it's in Fremont, but because it depicts Lenin as a violent revolutionary, with guns and flames, rather than as the peaceful father of communism
in most Soviet portrayals.
