Since last Wednesday I've had a very tense spot in my back, just beside my right shoulder blade. It feels somewhat better when I get Jeff to work on it, but it always comes back. It vanished for a whole twelve hours over the weekend, but this afternoon it came back with a vengeance. I thought maybe I was sitting weird (and indeed, it feels worse when I sit in strange positions), but focusing on my posture doesn't seem to have helped. I've come to the conclusion that I must be under a lot of stress; that hypothesis is supported by the fact that I've also developed an unusual amount of acne, a classic indicator of stress, even though I don't feel stressed.
The weird thing is that Jeff seems to have contracted this same tension, except his is on the left side. I wouldn't be surprised if he's under stress as well (since the end of the quarter is approaching, after all), but it's odd for his body to concentrate his tension in the same spot as mine.
I welcome suggestions of ways to beat this stress. I guess it will end when this quarter is over, but I'd like to deal with it in a less painful manner.
