Folk Fiction

Much as I hate my Young Adult Materials class, I'm pretty proud of the web poster that I created. It's on the theme of Folk Fiction, as is my WebQuest. (Sorry for not linking to the WebQuest, but I've restricted access because I use two images that belongs to someone else and for which I don't have permission. One is a Disney pic of Snow White, and the other is an visual representation of Snow White by a Japanese artist whom I emailed but who did not respond.)

I created the poster in less than a day. The web design was unusually easy, partially because I used my favorite color scheme site to generate a color scheme (so I didn't have to spend hours testing colors) and partially because I used non-web-safe colors, absolute positioning, fixed font sizes, and all those ugly things. On the other hand, I wrote it all by hand and used CSS for all formatting and style. The page is perfectly functional (but stark) without CSS.

Take a look at the color scheme. You'll probably see it on niceperson.org sometime soon, if I can get my stylesheets sorted out.
