Audio

Audio's working now. First I enabled kernel drivers for the wrong soundcard. I noticed that and fixed it even before I tried to produce any sound on Debian. The driver loaded on boot, and all was good.

Yesterday I installed Loki Games' Linux port of Alpha Centauri. It ran splendidly, and the graphics were fast and amazing, but there was no sound at all. Drat. Jeff suggested that perhaps I just couldn't write to /dev/dsp, so I added myself to the audio group. Logout, log back in to make sure the system knows I can write... and there we go. Alien warfare in stereo!
