Today I had the most enjoyable tooth cleaning of my life. I guess that's not saying much, because dental cleanings don't tend to be much fun, but this one was. You see, I got to watch The Incredibles during the cleaning. The dentist has this sort of headset with a little TV screen and headphones that fits over my head, and I can just lie in the chair and zone out while my teeth are worked on. No awkward one-sided conversation or anything.
On the other hand, the movie startled me at one point (they tend to do that), and my jumping in turn startled the dentist. No harm done, but in the future I may be more careful to choose a less rambunctious film.
